June Issue of Newtype and Animage

Submitted by Alafista on Monday, 21 May 20072 Comments

Picked up the latest June copy of Newtype and Animage over the last Friday from KKnM. Seems like both issue are hot on the Code Geass trail this month.

Newtype came with a 132 page Code Geass special, and theres tons of stuffs in there. Ranging from articles from previous Newtype issues (which I felt was redundant) to Seiyuus interview to a very nice set of 50 questions you ever want to know about Lelouch and Suzaku (e.g when is his birthday, his favorite season and pet, etc).

I especially like the poster collection corner where they showcased the various posters for the Code Geass.

Apart from the Code Geass special, June issue of Newtype seems rather bland except for a few seiyuu interview here and there.

June copy of Animage was way better in terms of content. They got the 29th Anime Grand Prix which I covered yesterday. They also threw in a deck of Code Geass poker cards.

Animage has some very nice preview of anime series for the upcoming Summer Season. Maybe I will talk about it another day.

I do like the poker deck alot, though they don’t handle so well compared to a normal deck of cards. But the cards are so cute ~

So thats my coverage of this month issue of Newtype and Animage. Hopefully next month they will start throwing in the free DVD with previews for the upcoming new anime.

Anyway since I mentioned poker decks, I will showcase the various poker decks I have next posting. I got some very pretty decks which I play around for my magic.
