Regarding the poll, it may be baised for all we know. God only knows how many fangirls stay awake at night watching the dubs or subs screaming at the screen every time their 'bishi' appears. The only reason why Lelouch made number one was because of A) his looks and B) the fact that he can go from good to evil in at least 3.5 seconds flat and change back even faster, all while trying to 'Change the world.'

If the poll were done in the U.S. then, maybe, characters like Ichigo or someone else from a shonen-style anime/manga would be in the top ten or number one.

If you ask me, some filler arcs can be interesting. The graphics for what, exactly? The anime or manga?

In the Bleach manga, Kubo's gotten better at drawing his characters as compared to the start of the series. The anime's been loyal to the manga (except for Ichimaru's eyes...Three colors, for god's sake!)

As for Kishimoto and Naruto, I wouldn't know since I've not been keeping up with the manga or anime.

As far as I'm concerned, you can try to prove that the poll wasn't rigged or biased or whatever, but be that as it may: The fangirls are something to fear.

Hellzzz Yeah!!!!!!!!!!
Kira Yamato second!
Its understandable. Kira was around from 2002 and 2004. Its only natural for people to move on with anime. But for Kira to come in second is an amazing feat.
Just because you dont like Kira and Lacus, that doesnt mean crap. Fact is you are just one person. Its the majority's opinion that count. If alot of people like Kira, then that's the blatant FACT!
I like Kira. He laughs in the face of danger and deflects multiple beams on many occasions with his beam saber. He pretty much bitch-slaps Shin every time he fires his beam cannon. Kira demonstrated extreme accuracy with pin-point precision to have the Strike Freedom's chest mounted beam cannon cliide with the beam from Shin's Destiny and cancel out each other.
Kira PWNZ ALL!
Go Kira!!!

I dont think that this poll was biased and face it. Bleach and Naruto graphics are getting from bad to worst. Even the fillers are getting boring and lame.

Yeah these polls are biased but this could be said in the US or other countries.(If this poll were done here in the States Naruto (OMG) and Ichigo from Bleach would be Kings.) In Japan many of the readers of the magazines are fangirls/boys of certain characters. (I saw a poll on Newtype from 2002 and Spike Spiegel from Bebop was consistently on the list for more than a year after reading several isssues)
but in the US most of the anime that is popular (MEANING GETTING THE MOST SALES) is stuff that is usually action oriented. Shojo and semi shojo stuff is here but gets less sales and is less popular. for some reason IMO American(maybe not just American) anime fans as a group seem to be more intrested in fighting and guns blowing things up and demonic heroes rather than more shojo and romantic themes. I'm personally not into the Naruto-type fighting show madness, never was. to me it's boring repetitive and is just full a lot of unneded angst. I prefer anything OTHER than the formentioned. I like more brooding Shonen titles (like Death Note) smart action series like GITS SAC. comedies fantasy and shojo as well as regular Japanese live action show and movies. Contrary to most folks I see (inside and out) I actually like Seed, Kira and Lacus (among other characters) they ridicule me because so but I don't mind. I thought it was a great series
and NO it WAS"NT the best gundam ever (that honor would go to the original gundam and its offshoots and 08th MS team) saying that I must personally say there is a stench of death in the air regarding anime in america(at least on the web). and paramount of this is the passionate
war that is going on in the US and between what show one likes vs ones dislikes. Bloggers from the US who harsly Judge Japanese tastes as if american fans are smarter and superior to others may be freedom of speech but IMO DOES NOT MAKE YOU THE ATHOURITY. The hatred in the web community is so rampant (OVER CARTOONS!) I've left a couple of forums over it. it's not like movies where two people can mutually disagree over who's the better actor or sports talk about who's the top NFL team and who'll make it to the Super Bowl. Sure some arguments can get heated at times . but with Anime it's tenfold there's fur flying and every curse word known to man. I just don't get it. that's why I HATE Snobbery and Eliteism in regards to ANYTHING. I like what I like and ignore what I do'nt.

I've tried to pick up Code Geass, but after 4 episodes I keep falling asleep to the speeding masses of dialogues. Yep, reading that much subtitles is too much work.

Seeing how polls like these are usually biased, I don't really make a fuss about the results anymore. It's kinda like TIME's 100 most influential people poll, where the number 1 winner usually has the most amount of crazy hikkomori fans. I can imagine them staying home all day, sending vote after vote for their favourite person/character.
