Square Enix Party 2007
For those that are avid gamers like me would know that over the past weekend in Japan, there was a huge Square Enix Party for the Final Fantasy fanboys and fangirls.

Of course the Japanese always turn up for these mega events and somehow the queue just went on and on.

Here’s a youtube video that shows how incredibly long the queue on the opening day.
Makes you wonder how do these people get home later on.
Here’s a video that somehow sneak out of what it looks like in the hall.
I’m think its pretty awesome, not the video but the mega screen in the hall.
Lastly here’s a report done by Gamespot thats spilt into 2 parts, which covers the games and the cosplayers as well.
Man how I wish I was there.

i just found it the event kinda disappointing that Square Enix isn’t Squaresoft or Squre EA anymore. They’re drowning the market w/ games w/ the name FF slapped on it as they failed on their old IPs during the PS2 generation (ie. saga, mana). Not only that, they’re hardly making any new IPs and have dragged Enix along w/ the flood of DQ games. I’m not excited about the handful of remakes they have in mind, it simply shows that Square does not possess the the creative talent they once dominated. The only ‘talent’ they got is Nomura. While Nomura is a pretty good director, he sux at character designs (compared to other chara designers). anyways, from the event, i’m only looking forward to crisis core and dissidia (cuz i’m a hardcore fighting game fan and like to test all fighting games :D).
yeah, maybe they need Yasumi Matsuno back, I loved his FF tactics and Vagrant Story and even the long long ago tactics ogre
